Monthly and yearly billing

Paid plans can be purchased using a monthly or yearly billing interval.

Monthly billing

The subscription renews each month until it is cancelled.

Yearly billing

The subscription renews once per year and provides a lower effective monthly price.

Yearly plans include a saving

The current yearly prices are equivalent to paying for approximately ten months instead of twelve monthly payments.

What happens after upgrading?

A successful subscription updates the account to the selected paid plan.

Forge API opens the secure Stripe Checkout page.

Complete the payment using the available payment method.

Stripe confirms the subscription and returns you to Forge API.

Your account receives the projects, endpoints, request allowance, storage and feature access included with the selected plan.

Paid access normally begins immediately

After Checkout succeeds and the subscription is synchronized, the Billing page displays the active plan and subscription details.

Manage your subscription

Paid users can open the Stripe Customer Portal from the Forge API Billing page.

Open:

Dashboard → Billing → Manage subscription

Depending on the available options, the portal can be used to:

Review the active subscription
Review the next renewal date
Update the payment method
View billing information
Download invoices or receipts
Schedule cancellation
Resume a subscription scheduled for cancellation

Cancelling a subscription

A subscription can be scheduled to end at the end of its current paid billing period.

When cancellation is scheduled:

The subscription remains active until the current billing period ends.
Paid-plan features remain available during the remaining period.
The subscription will not renew automatically at the end of that period.
The Forge API Billing page displays that the subscription is cancelling.
After the paid period ends, the account returns to the Free plan.

Cancelling is not the same as refunding

Scheduling a subscription cancellation prevents a future renewal. It does not automatically refund a payment that has already been processed.

Resume a scheduled cancellation

A subscription can normally be resumed before its current billing period ends.

If the subscription is still active but scheduled for cancellation, open the customer portal and choose the option to stop the cancellation.

After resuming:

The scheduled cancellation is removed.
The subscription remains on its current plan.
Automatic renewal is enabled again.
Stripe attempts the next payment on the displayed renewal date.

Resuming enables future billing

Only resume a subscription when you want it to renew and charge the saved payment method at the next billing date.

Returning to the Free plan

Cancelling a paid subscription does not delete the Forge API account.

When paid access ends, the account remains available on the Free plan. Existing resources are not automatically described as deleted merely because the subscription ended.

If the account contains more resources than the Free plan allows, Forge API may restrict actions that would increase usage until the account is back within its current plan limits.

Review your usage before cancelling

Check your project count, endpoint usage, response sizes and storage before the paid period ends. This helps you understand which limits will apply after the account returns to Free.

Failed and incomplete payments

Subscription access depends on the payment and subscription status reported by Stripe.

If a payment fails or requires additional action, the Billing page may display a status such as:

Past due

A subscription payment was not completed successfully and may be retried.

Incomplete

The initial subscription payment has not completed.

Unpaid

Stripe has marked the subscription as unpaid after failed collection attempts.

Cancelled

The subscription has ended and will no longer renew.

Resolve payment problems promptly

Open the Billing page or Stripe Customer Portal to review the payment method and subscription status when paid features are unexpectedly unavailable.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled separately from subscription cancellation.

A refund reverses an eligible completed payment. Cancelling a subscription controls whether it will renew in the future.

Because these are separate actions, a refunded payment does not necessarily mean that the subscription itself has been cancelled.

Contact Forge API about a payment

Use the contact page and include the email address associated with your Forge API account and the relevant payment details. Do not send complete card details.

Invoices and payment details

Stripe securely manages payment methods, invoices and subscription billing.

Forge API does not require you to send payment-card details through a Forge API support form. Payment details should be managed through Stripe Checkout or the Stripe Customer Portal.

Review invoices through the customer portal
Update the saved payment method securely
Review the billing interval and renewal date
Download available billing documents

Never send complete card details

Forge API support does not need your full card number, security code or online banking credentials.
